Plant-based Protein Powder with Healthy Ingredients
I think I eat very healthy but wanted to get a little more protein in my diet. After quite a bit of research, I chose this organic protein powder from company Purely Inspired. Per serving, it has 22 grams of plant-based protein (pea and brown rice), only 2 grams of sugar, and no sugar alcohols. It also has a probiotic, as well as a prebiotic (Inulin). It has relatively low sodium, a decent amount of fiber, and claims to have zero cholesterol, although the product contains coconut oil which does have cholesterol.The protein powder came in the mail today. I got the vanilla flavor because I figured it was more versatile than the chocolate. When you first open the jar, you will notice that the powder doesnât come all the way to the top, maybe about 80% up. I used a long spoon to pull up the enclosed scoop, which was about half way down. After reading other reviews about the taste, I started off with just 1/2 scoop of powder. I added unsweetened almond milk and frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries) and blended it. It did blend nicely, with no clumps of powder. However, it was too thick, so I added water and blended again. When I drank it, I did notice the vanilla flavor, which tasted somewhat artificial. It certainly didnât have an overwhelming taste, as mentioned in some of the reviews that I read. Next time, Iâll add some honey which I suspect will dampen the vanilla taste. Iâll also test with other sweeteners such as maple syrup (the real Vermont stuff) as well as carob.Because of its plant-based protein and healthy ingredients, I definitely will be purchasing this brand of protein powder again.Update: I recently tried the protein powder in the oatmeal I make every morning. The oatmeal contains frozen berries, raisins, coconut oil, pecans, and unsweetened almond milk. I added the protein powder and a little extra almond milk. It turned out great. I also tried it in pancakes today, again adding the protein powder and a little extra almond milk. Again, it tasted great. In both cases, there was no noticeable funky taste of the vanilla.

Actually pretty good product
I read other comments and was wondering if I should purchase the product. However, the price was good and I gave it a try. This is my observation:- Flavor: comparable to other products (Garden of Life, etc). Not too tasty since itâs not very sweet but quite nice chocolate flavor (compared to other chocolate pea protein powders that I have tried). Chalky taste? Not as a few options I tried before. It could be different with other flavors (vanilla, etc but I didnât try those so I donât know)- Blending: I just tried to blend it with room temperature water and itâs perfectly easy to blend. Some got stuck on the tip of the spoon but itâs not difficult to use a finger to push it down the glass and stir all to dissolve. The blend looks a bit shiny and weâll blended.- Value: for 18 servings, each with 22grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber, low carb, this is great value! I tried a few options before and they are very similar but at higher price points. Not $15 for 18 servings!! This is less than $1 per glass of high protein, easy to digest and wonât clog your stomach.- Vegan friendly: okay mine only says could processed in facility with eggs and coconuts. I know itâs not ideal for vegan (Iâm not a vegan). Quality could be issue as some people complained their product labels show processed in facility with milk, etc- Design: this product looks totally similar to quite a few other products so I have no comments about their brand distinction in terms of standing on the shelves at all. All have green cap, white plastic box, label with lots of veggies, letter fonts, etc- Shipping: 2 days, packed wellShould I buy it again? Yes, as I got decent value from the protein drink: economical price, high protein, easy to digest, good flavor.

Good product, good taste, but may cause gas in people sensitive to ingredients (like me)
I am not going to slam this product because of my experience with it, because I just think I am sensitive to one or more of the ingredients. I am guessing since it is pea-based it is loaded with sorbitol, which is usually good for most people (for regularity), but not for those who are intolerant of it. It made me extremely gassy.That said, don’t buy this product unless you plan to use a blender. It is very thick, but I enjoyed the texture because it was like drinking a thick chocolate shake. It will not mix with a spoon, you will end up with lots of clumps. I found the flavor to be among the best I have tried and am a little bummed I can’t use it.

Excellent product for the price. I bought chocolate and I am really enjoying it. I add fruit and peanut butter. It does have the ‘artificial aftertaste’.. But in my opinion, all the brands do. I will purchase again.

Best Protein Powder
This is the best protein powder I’ve had so far. Super smooth, no grainy texture and tasted good. I mix it with Orgain Chocolate collagen powder and 1/2 a frozen banana with ice and water. Creamy and tasty.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Itâs so hard to find a vegan protein powder that checks all the boxes. Well, this one does just that. Great price, great product! Great taste, especially if you add it to some chocolate almond milk (I didnât like the taste in water – I think you taste the stevia in water). Make sure to blend it well and youâll have a protein powder that you donât mind taking everyday. It really does taste like a dessert. Please donât change anything about the formula. Highly recommend.

Not so creamy
I ordered this product thinking I could make a coffee creamer which was dairy free. I’ve only made it once but it did not have the consistency of what I consider creamy. I added some cream to make it a bit thicker and a bit of flavoring to enhance the vanilla flavor. I did taste the drink after first making it and could taste the vanilla but that flavor got lost when added to coffee. I understand I’m not using it as it was intended for and it may be fine as a plain protein drink but thought my input may help others purchasing this product. It is fat free so a big plus. I may try mixing it with almond milk instead of water to see if it makes a more creamy texture.

Sabor muy suave, lo que me permite combinarlo con diferentes frutas y usarlo en recetas sin que altere el sabor. El polvo es super fino asà que se integra muy bien. Yo uso menos de la mitad de la porción para un licuado de 400ml porque solo es complemento no substituto de una comida entera.
