Great in smoothies
I’m a sweetsaholic so my strawberry smoothies for lunch serve many purposes – satisfies my sweet tooth, provides 25g of protein and fills me up. Great ingredient profile and value
I purchased the Ascent vanilla flavored protein powder. Iâve been making protein smoothies for breakfast for years and have constantly been on the hunt for a great foundational protein powder. I found that Ascentâs product had a pleasant taste, great price, solid ingredients list and mixed really well.I use a power blender and typically mix with coconut milk, fruit, greens and ice. No chunks or chalkiness with this product and I would definitely recommend it.

Best protein shake ever!
This is absolutely the best chocolate protein shake I’ve ever had. It’s not overwhelming in flavor or sweetness and doesn’t have an aftertaste. It doesn’t have any bad ingredients. I like that I can use less water to make it thicker or use more water to make it thinner. I don’t mix it with anything but water because I don’t need the extra calories but I do need the extra protein. I’m not an athlete. I’m an older woman with a muscle disease that needs high amounts of protein daily. This fulfills that need. I will try the vanilla next.

Great protein powder in subpar packaging
This protein was recommended to me by Dr. Peter Attia on social media after I tried other brands to good results since Iâm a very active athlete. I instantly loved the flavor (Chocolate Peanut Butter) as it was delicious and the protein mixed so well with water and my collagen protein powder that I was really impressed.What I was not pleased with was that packaging couldnât fully close once opened, so I had to place the protein bag inside of a larger zip lock bag. I was actually prepared for this as I read numerous other reviews from other customers. Itâs really a shame because this is easily a 5 star product.If youâre looking for a really clean, high quality protein this is definitely something I would recommend that tastes great.

Best Vanilla Flavor Out There
I am so blown away by the Ascent Whey Protein (Vanilla) I had to post this review. My partner has tried dozens of protein powders and by default so have I. Every single one was absolute crap. They all taste like chemicals and are so gritty and unnatural. One time he gave me a shake that was so disgusting I literally hurled in the kitchen sink as we were rushing to make a flight, he’s still apologizing to this day for that. So I just thought protein powders SUCK and there is no way around it. Enter Ascent! This is the purest vanilla flavor I have ever tasted. No chemical after taste and it blends seamlessly, I do not get even a little bit of grit. One little problem is that I’m not a fan of stevia and this is heavy on the stevia. But that is fairly easy to remedy, just add tangy things like greek/icelandic yogurt and sour fruits – et voila! Can’t wait to see some muscle gains over the next few months!

Worth the Price
We always keep a bag of this protein along with some more affordable bulk proteins. this one tastes great, is healthier than most, and it mixes beautifully, even with just a quick shake in water. No stomach upset and the texture is the best with water so itâs a go-to powder when traveling. Chocolate is my favorite but vanilla has good flavor. Have not tried others.

Mixes well, Great Taste
Great tasting protein powder with macro friendly are not easy to find, many have a terrible taste. The ascent however, is really nice. The vanilla bean is floured, but is not overpowering. It mixes well and doesnât have a chalky texture. Only negative is the bag which does not close as the protein powder gets in the seal.
